Chelsea played 2-2 against Juventus in their opening UEFA Champions league match on Wednesday and Midfielder Mikel Obi was blamed for "costing" the team their victory. The fans blamed him for causing the equalizing goal.
Angry Chelsea fans then took to twitter to racially abuse the Midfielder causing him to delete his twitter account.
Chelsea FC officials have informed the police of the racist tweets in a statement that read
"We've been made aware of racist tweets targeted at Mikel which are totally unacceptable, disgusting and abhorrent. We've informed the police and support the strongest possible action "
Shame on all Chelsea fans who were a part of this bullying.
